Kuahman Perez-Murray is a dedicated Financial Specialist at S.L.A.T.E. Family Services, bringing a strong foundation in finance, client services, and team leadership, as well as over 19 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. His journey first began with his younger brother, who is on the autism spectrum, inspiring his lifelong dedication to advocacy and support. He holds an Associate Degree in Accounting from Pierce College and is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at the University of Washington Tacoma.

In addition to his professional expertise, Kuahman’s personal journey has shaped much of his compassion and commitment to the disability community. For the past 21 years, he has supported his brother through hands-on involvement in daily routines, communication strategies, emotional regulation, and goal setting. This lifelong experience has given him a deep understanding of the challenges and strengths that come with autism. Through his role as both brother and advocate, Kuahman has developed skills in patience, problem-solving, empathy, behavioral redirection, and fostering independence—qualities that deeply inform his work at S.L.A.T.E.

Professionally, Kuahman has worked as a Financial Representative at a supported living facility, where he managed client budgets, coordinated disbursements, and ensured financial accountability. He also has extensive experience in data tracking, reporting, account reconciliation, and team building. His calm demeanor, bilingual fluency in Spanish, and ability to work under pressure make him a reliable and approachable team member.

At S.L.A.T.E. Family Services, Kuahman combines his financial expertise with his personal insights to ensure that each individual receives not only sound fiscal oversight but also care and support grounded in respect, advocacy, and understanding. His unique blend of personal compassion and professional skill makes him an invaluable part of the leadership team.
